Hi and Welcome to the Slim People in Progress Blog!
New to blogs? Here are a few tips to help you navigate through this site and to participate in the conversation.
1. Near the top of the left sidebar there is a place for you to subscribe to get email updates when new content is added. If you enjoy what you read here, it's a good idea to subscribe so you won't miss any news, tips, strategies and motivational success stories.
2. There are sections called "recent posts" and "categories." By reviewing these sections, you'll know the 10 most recent posts and you'll be able to find content based on subject matter in the categories.
3. One of the powerful features of blogs is the way they can build community of like-minded people. You can interact with the blog authors by posting comments to what they have written. This can create great dialogue between you, the author and other readers. If you have something to share, all you have to do is click on the link that says "comments" at the bottom of the post you want to contribute to. The number in brackets indicates how many people have submitted comments on that particular post.
4. You'll also find links to books that may be of interest to you. There are links to other websites and blogs that are related to health and well-being.
5. Within the body of each post you may see words in blue. Those words link to other blogs and websites for you to get more information. Just click on the blue words to follow the link.
The most important thing is to have fun. This blog is meant as a place for support and encouragement to meet your weight loss, fitness and healthy living goals.

I am doing the Idiot Proof Diet and I wonder who else out there went for this thing online. I am on round two and have lost the weight right on schedule. It is the most boring diet ever- really taxing my cooking skills. Anyone out there?

thanks. i am going to keep at it, and add my exercising. i ate appropriately - really surprised myself, but am so determined to succeed. i had lots of vegetables - thanks to summer (tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, beans, etc). i did feel hungry this week, so my body might not be ready to give up the weight without a fight. hopefully next week the scale will read a couple pounds lighter. thanks again.

I'd really like to post the fact that when it comes to hoodia the buyer must watch for one thing above all others, and that is purity. As far as I know (and I've tried almost all of them), the Hoodoba brand sold at
http://www.hoodia-dietpills.com is the only brand sold in the US that has no fillers or additives whatsoever.
This is key in that unless it has enough of the raw hoodia powder in the capsules, the level of appetite suppression will not be strong enough to make a difference. From what I understand the other brands dilute the products with additives, and fillers, and other ingredients as much as 70-80 percent to cut corners and to cut cost. When I look under the Other Ingredients section of the label, from those that I purchased (8 different brands), the Hoodoba label is the only one that says "None". No wonder it is also the one that truly suppresses the appetite as discussed in the studies.

I will like to hear from anybody who has tried muffins from both vitalicious(vitatops and vitamuffins) and penny's low fat desserts. Which one was tastier and more filling?

Denise and I order Vitalicious muffin tops all the time. They are one of the reasons we've stayed on our weight-loss quest. They are delicious, filling, full of fiber and only 1 point. I love all the flavors and try to have a variety in the freezer at all times.
Vitalicious rules!
We have not heard of Penny's low fat desserts - can you provide a link?
