Today at my workout, I learned about the healthy effects of bouncing on a trampoline.
Rebounding sounds like a fun way to work out, get in shape and stay healthy. Here's how Gayle Fiene, a certified Reboundologist explains some of the benefits:
"When the body bounces in the air the one way valves in the lymph veins are closed. At the top of the bounce there is a split second of weightlessness, then as the body comes down, the fluid in the lymph veins flows up, opening the valves. The deceleration causes waste trapped in the blood protein and extra fluid to be squeezed from the spaces between the cells with every bounce, the process repeats itself opening the valves and flushing out the waste through the lymph nodes and dumping the lymph back into the bloodstream. Two minutes of health bouncing can flush the lymphatic system and increase the white blood cell count."
