Today's WW meeting topic was "oh, well...".
Weight Watchers has been an eye-opener for me. I have always known that crash diets promising quick weight loss are a bad idea. You didn't gain all that weight in a few months so losing it that quickly cannot be the right way to go. Weight Watchers is not a "diet", it is a "life plan". You are always in control of the choices you make.
Since WW is a life plan, it is important to accept that you are allowed to eat what you want. If you have a day full of cravings or social situations that make healthy eating choices more difficult, it OK to indulge yourself, say "oh well..." and then get right back on the plan the next day.
I had two birthday parties yesterday. I knew it would be hard to count my points and not eat cake, so I just watched what I ate, but indulged in some foods I haven't eaten in a LONG time. I tried to eat smaller portions, but boy, I really enjoyed that cheesecake! (thanks, Cousin Denise!) :-)
I did not count my points this weekend - I said to myself, "Oh well..." and started counting again today.
