Attention Runners and Walkers in Los Angeles

If you live in the Los Angeles area, you can support a great cause and get some exercise at the same time.

My running pals and I will be running in the LA County Run for Health in Pasadena next Saturday, September 13, at the Rose Bowl. One of my pals will be doing the 5K walk and the rest of us will do the 10K run which is two laps around the Rose Bowl and golf course.

The fee to enter is $30 and all proceeds for this event will go towards $1,000 college scholarships to low income disadvantage young women. To date, 188 scholarships have been awarded to girls at-risk for a grand total of $188,000. This family event focuses on health, fitness and education and is hosted by the Los Angeles County Commission for Women.
